Book Club!

I wanted to make a Blog on some of my favourite books of all time and why they are the best!
I'm a major book worm and this selection of books are by some of my favourite Authors, these are the books that every book worm dreams of. That one book that gets you hooked to the point where you can't even work! You just have to live in this book and soak in it's story and poetry.
Being a Poet myself I look for books with deep meaning and books that are poetically written. In other words soppy love stories or sad and depressing endings!

Heres my selection so far-

THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK

Why Anne Frank? This book was on my 'Bucket List' of books. I missed the boat at school and didn't get a chance to study it like most people did for their GCSE's. Instead I was stuck with Mice of Men which I now love and appreciate. I've always wanted to experience this book. I say experience because we all know this famous story and the torment Anne went through with her family. This is beautifully written considering it is the Diary of a 13 year old girl. It's an inspiring work of Art and special part of History that we should continue to thrive upon and appreciate.

What will you take from this book? Take out the History and the unique story from this book. I feel any Girl from 13 to 30 can relate to in many ways. Whilst reading I was brought back to my own teenage diaries and the emotions I was feeling at the time when your body starts to change, the boys you start to fancy, a girls first period! It's all in this book and as a reader we realise that this young girl is just like any one of us. Yet she's in a completely different world and living situation.
The ending is incredibly sad yet captivating as you are patiently waiting for her family to be found. Most of us sadly know the ending but this doesn't ruin your reading like some books can. Don't you hate it when people give the ending away ?!

If you haven't read it already... Please do! If you're looking for a strong, inspiring and captivating Diary this is your book. I felt everything and more whilst reading this and I'm happy that it was found and treasured the way it is today and now I know why. Next stop Amsterdam!

NEVER NEVER PART 1, 2 AND 3

WHY NEVER NEVER? Let me introduce you to Tarryn Fisher and Colleen Hoover my favourite found Authors! This unique story (which took forever to come out) is captivating, sad and special. Never Never is all about one couple who have been best friends since babies and in love with each other since they were 14. One day they wake up and have no recollection what so ever of who they are, where they are and what has happened? Ooo the cliffhangers! Its a 3 part series (short novels) that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

What will you take from this book? I related to this book allot, considering I've never woken up with an erased memory! I feel this book thrives on the importance of relationships, that being friends and lovers. To me it was like counselling for couples, you can relate to the relationship between this beautiful pair and you believe in them. God you want them to find their answers so they can live happily ever after and return to their happy place! It's all about fate. Once you've finished reading you will feel content and happy and still continue to ask yourself questions to make sense of it all. I obviously can't say why but as I waited a long time in-between books you will also feel relieved to have finished the cliffhangers and the loss of characters. It really is an addictive read. *applause* *applause*

If you haven't read it already... you should give it a go. If you are looking for tense, exciting, romantic yet comical books, look no further. Tarryn and Colleen are both incredible Authors and their books alone are inspiring and poetic, literally everything I love. So you can't go wrong with these two pairing up.

THE OPPORTUNIST, DIRTY RED AND THIEF!

Why this series? The first of many of Tarryn Fisher's. She's one of my favourite Authors who has a wide variety of books with plenty of unique stories to tell. I first heard about Thief on Insta, somebody had quoted the book and I fell in love with the words so I googled it and found the final book.
"She has the kind of love that can stain your soul, make you beg not to have one, just to escape the spell she’s put you under. I’ve tried to break myself of her over and over, but it’s pointless. I’ve got more of her in my veins than blood”

I bought The Opportunist on Amazon and I was hooked from the start. Not only do Tarryns books start and end with suspense and cliffhangers but the whole series will have you wanting more.
Dirty Red has to be my favourite as I loved her character and the story of a lonely woman behind closed doors. It's most definitely a Woman's book! To sum it up the books are about two women fighting for the same man with plenty of twists and turns with this dramatic set of Women. The final book is the most interesting as it ties up the story with the mans perspective. Very intriguing!

What will you take from this book? It's the only series of books that I have wanted to read again and again. This series could be studied for GCSE students, its very well written and the psychological aspect of these books are what I appreciate the most and would enjoy studying. I feel many Women will relate to these characters and probably know their own Opportunist and Dirty Red. I know I do!
What I gained from this book was sympathy for people, Dirty Red is usually the woman you would hate but when finishing her book you will feel nothing but remorse and empathy for the poor girl.
I love the story and would love to see this series made into a film.

If you haven't read it already... Try the first and see how you go. I'm sure every Woman that experience's the first book will be rushing to buy the next. The poetry and madness of this story are what drew me in, every line could be a poem and thats why they are one of my favourites.

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS

Why The Fault In Our Stars? Why not! I'm sure many have seen the film but have you read the book? This has to be the only book I've read where the film is as amazing as the Novel. If you're looking for emotional heart break, true love, realities of the world and love like only in the movies then this is your book. Its an emotional rollercoaster yet a feel good novel even though your heart breaks during this read your heart is also filled with happiness and beautiful content about life and its wicked ways.

What will you take from this book? Hope, happiness, love and sadness in your heart. The realities of this Novel are close to many peoples hearts I am sure, many will relate and many will never forget. It's not just based around Cancer, that is just one part of it. The book highlights love, normality and how many live their lives with an ongoing illness. It's very well researched and you will fall in love with the characters, say no more.

If you haven't read it already... and you like deep life long love like the Titanic, Moulin Rouge, Sleepless in Seattle and the Notebook, then this is for you. THEN watch the film.

LETTERS TO A YOUNG POET

Why Letters to a Young Poet? For me this is a personal one as I write allot of Poetry. The book is a collection of 10 letters between a Young Poet in the army and Rainer Maria Rilke, a famous and successful Poet. The Boy is trying to decide between a life in the Army or the life as a Poet.
I have to say this book isn't just for Poets its for everyone! To me it's like a life tutorial or that conversation you wished your Parents had with you about hopes and dreams and how you can be anything you want to be but know that you have to work, and work hard!

What will you take from this book? Inspiration a new lease for life and maybe a life changing epiphany guiding you towards your life purpose. It's a short but life changing book, one for all people from all walks of life. Basically for all humans! lol

If you haven't read it already... I say everyone should read it or at least give it a try. It's mainly for mature readers, it needs to be appreciated and respected, you will keep it in your suitcase for a holiday read as you will want to be reminded of this beautiful story many times in the future. For those who are down and out or feel they haven't found their dream job, life purpose etc, this book  is for you.

NOVEMBER 9

Why November 9? Hands down the best book I've ever read (so far). It's a unique love story between two interesting characters who meet once a year, every year on November 9. The secrets that are hidden in this Novel will shock the reader, you think you know everything but I can tell you, you don't. I can't recommend it enough I could write a whole blog about this book but then I'll be giving too much away!

What will you take from this book? You'll never forget it. You will want to read it again and you will be sitting in silence for maybe an hour or so after finishing the final chapter...

If you haven't read it already... Then you are a FOOL! It's my most memorable read and I feel Women across the globe will fall in love with this story. I'm trying hard not to give anything away you'll have to read it for yourself hehe

So there it is my favourite books and hopefully some successful recommendations. Please let me know in the comments below or on my Insta- CCWHITEGOLD If you have read any of these books since this post. I'd love to hear what you thought. Lets start a book club!
